Honda Automatic Transmission Failure Investigation Wasserman, Comden, Casselman & Esensten L.L.P. is currently conducting an investigation involving defective and dangerous automatic transmissions found in automobiles, sport utility vehicles, and minivans manufactured by Honda. Some consumers complain that the transmission in their Honda vehicles are prone to "lockup" while driving at normal speeds. In such cases, the transmission unexpectedly shifts into a lower gear causing the vehicle to suddenly decelerate at a rapid rate and/or causing the front wheels to lockup into a skid. Similar complaints have also been made regarding Acura brand vehicles. Upon taking the vehicle to the dealership for repairs, some consumers are told that the transmission requires a complete overhaul and/or replacement at a significant repair cost. The vehicle remains inoperable until the repair is made. We believe that the defective automatic transmissions are found in the following vehicles: (1) Acura 3.2CL model year 2003; (2) Acura 3.2TL model years 2003-2004; (3) Acura MDX model years 2001-2002; (4) Honda Accord model years 2003-2004; (5) Honda Odyssey model years 2002-2004; and (6) Honda Pilot model years 2003-2004. There may be additional vehicle models that have this same defect. Wasserman, Comden, Casselman & Esensten L.L.P. and co-counsel Keller Grover L.L.P. have recently filed a case on behalf of Plaintiffs, in California federal court, against American Honda Motors.
