Class Action Lawsuit On Behalf of Young's Market Truck Drivers for Unpaid and Missed Meal Breaks and Other Deceptive Practices

Wasserman, Comden, Casselman & Esensten, L.L.P. and co-counsel Ackerman & Tilajef, P.C. are litigating a lawsuit on behalf of truck drivers formerly or currently employed by Young's Market, LLC, regarding the company's alleged failure to provide timely off-duty meal periods to its California truck drivers; failure to pay its California truck drivers for missed, on-duty and untimely meal periods; failure to pay wages due on termination and other deceptive and fraudulent business practices.

By law, employers in California must provide an off-duty 30 minute meal period to employees on or before the fifth and tenth hours of work. If an employer fails to provide the off-duty meal period, then the employer must pay the employee premium pay amounting to one hour of pay per day at the employee's regular rate of pay.
