Neptune Technologies, Inc. (fka Schlumberger Industries, Inc.)

On August 21, 2000, WCC&E, along with co-counsel filed Rueda v. Schlumberger Industries, Inc., Los Angeles County Superior Court Case No. BC235471. The complaint alleges that water meters manufactured by defendant Neptune Technologies, Inc. leach lead into the water purchased by customers of the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power. On January 21, 2003 the Honorable Charles McCoy certified the case as a class action on behalf of all Los Angeles Department of Water & Power customers who have the offending water meters at their residences.
